Pammene aurana on UK Moths website
Recorded from 4 out of 57x10km.sq. records in county

In Essex this is a scarce resident associated with Hogweed in woods and grassland (Goodey, 2004). The distinctive moths can be found in the afternoons during June and July on the flowers of the foodplant. The larvae spin seeds of hogweed together and feed on the seeds inside the spinning.
